Hi there,
Your teachers Are all around you. All that you perceive, All that you experience, All that is given to you or taken from you, All that you love or hate, need or fear Will teach you - If you will learn. God is your first and your last teacher. God is your harshest teacher: subtle, demanding. Learn or die.
I finally read Octavia Butler’s Parable of the Sower … just in time for IPCC report day. If I ever dared to call a novel infectious again, maybe it would apply here. Or rather obsessive? Obsessive, brilliant and as vital as it had always been described to me. My turn has now come to push it towards you, if you haven’t read it yet.
Anyway, I’ve written so many sentences in the last weeks - and i’m so exhausted of it -that I promise this newsletter will be a short one! How’s everyone doing?
I NEED YOUR HELP
I’m gonna start doing my monthly show Fictions on Cashmere Radio again. Susanna has done an incredible job at filling in over the last months. In her own words, it feels like Fictions has “become her little baby!”
My first show in a while will be a Fictions At The Post Office, an ode to letters and intimate exchanges. I’d like to read some of the postcards I received through post-crossing1 (one of my lockdown projects), from friends… and from you? If you’d like to exchange a postcard with me, that would make me really happy! Just reply to this email with your postal address and I’ll send something over.
gigs
I may (or may not) play at these events and places in the next weeks and may (or may not) still have some guest list spots for some of them:
28.08 - Dekmantel Selectors - Tisno, Croatia
10.09 - Horst Festival - Brussels, Belgium
18.09 - La Ferme de Quincé - Rennes, France / Mar&Bass - Sarzeau, France
Hope to see you there?
xx

PS: a few of you have reported finding the newsletters in your spam, so maybe you missed the last one, which was about music?
Post-crossing is a website that allows you to exchange postcards with members of its community. For every letter sent to a random post-crosser, you will receive a letter from another random post-crosser.
